As an instructional technology resource teacher, I worked as a team to infuse collaborative opportunities in my school building. I am responsible for creating professional development opportunities for my staff and other teachers within the district. I am a co-lead on our division's teacher conference and enjoy finding opportunities to inspire our students and educators through risk taking and creation!

Short Pump Middle School

In my role as teacher and department head, I work collaboratively with a variety of teachers and staff to create engaging, relevant and creative  lessons for our students.  I serve as the co-chair for our Student Council Association, yearbook advisor, am a member of the 2015 Reflective Puma Technology group, served on the county’s Henrico 21 scoring committee, and was the Puma assistant gymnastics coach.  

 

 

Brookland Middle School

​2011-2014

 

I served as a member of the school community as a teacher and a coach.  I successfully created and implemented many successful new lessons using 21st century technology in my classroom and helped spread new technology ideas to my fellow teachers through department meetings and small professional development groups.  I served as the cooperating teacher for a VCU student teacher and practicum student and participated in our student mentor program.

 

 

Charles City Middle School

In my first teaching position, I taught 7th and 8th grade social studies, sponsored several school clubs, including the Trumpet Club and Art Club.  I served as the yearbook editor and sponsor in the 2010-2011 school year.
