I chose to participate in an internship opportunity instead of the traditional course option for LTLE 650 eLearning.  For eight weeks during the summer of 2016, I took on the role as an eLearning intern for the University of Bath Spa.

My role as eLearning intern was to partner with a professor and course to redesign the module.  I was assigned an undergraduate dissertation module.  I worked with 3 subject matter experts (my clients), to get an idea of what they would like to see changed in their module.

Using the ADDIE Model, we went through several steps (client interviews, storyboards, usability tests, presentations...) during the internship process.  I thoroughly enjoyed working with clients to create an actual module.  We took the module from a storage of files to a blended learning environment that could be used synchronously or asynchronously.   Learners could now find materials with ease and be awarded achievements upon completion.
